Grass Roots Theatre was set up to write and perform entertaining, character-driven plays that get to the Grass Roots of what makes people tick - their loves and hates, their hopes and fears.

Phyllis Brighouse won the Tony Davies Trophy for best new original script with our entry to the Leverhulme Festival "Dinner With the Borgias". This is now the Third time Phyllis has won the Tony Davies Cup.

Our hugely popular supper theatre evenings in Heswall and our Festival entries.

Our previous plays: Auld Lang Syne and Goodbye For Now, were immensely popular - in fact Goodbye For Now was a sell out.

2010 will be our third year at the Leverhulme Festival, and this year we are entering the Anglesey Festival for the first time.

Our Current Show

We are currently rehearsing our award winning play: Dinner With the Borgias.
